I’m in this!
Cypress has always been an exceptional talent whose idiosyncratic cartooning has allowed him to live on the fringe of mainstream comics but here his art is on another level. His illustrations have always been wholly distinctive and on White Suits it feels like he’s fully mastered his craft and technique to this story and world. He manages to have a familiar art style for all of his people and settings that’s refined enough to the point that they all feel different and fully realized while his layouts are just gorgeous displays of visual storytelling that work both in panel to panel showing multiple layers of the story with an economical use of line work or the large scale splash pages that spill outward to set a mood, tone and experience unmatched. — http://nothingbutcomics.wordpress.com/2014/04/16/this-weeks-finest-the-white-suits-3/

I knew Head Lopper 2 was going to be about wolves pretty early on but the plot didn’t come along until it was time to get it all together. However from the very beginning I knew I wanted a double page spread where Norgal absolutely runs (literally) through a bunch of wolves.
And here it is, the double page has a few of these sequences stacked on top of one another, featuring Norgal taking down the 15’ tall wolves, one after another, with a great deal of ease.
Did you miss out on SOVEREIGN #1? A second printing will be in stores along with the second issue next Wednesday.
